ouch, it doesn’t sound very good for MS
With a recommended 2GB memory to run most apps, I dont see myself upgrading anytime soon
ehhh… so it got delayed a few months… no real biggy IMHO
honestly… I think the writer blew it WAAAY out of perportion. I’d expect anyone with the least bit of intelligence to just reuse their copy of XP for a new machine, either that or wait for vista to come out (then again, I dont know many ppl even really looking forward to it at the moment, as the system specs seem to be a little off the charts)
the scenareo he painted only applies to a very small percentage of users
^ True.
I think the big problem is the seeming lack of support from MS staffers.
Some in the things mentioned in that article just seem a bit… off. But yeah given the specs of it and my current setup. I just can’t see it being a hot seller. And all I can think of is a bunch of old people calling india to bitch that their 486 win95 machine won’t run it.
the delay doesn’t bother me - whats most important is getting most of the bugs out by the time they release it.
:word:
I’ll be switching to mac.
theres still so many people that dont even know about vista, so i dont see why the writer’s so worked up about it
Ehh… probably just one of those geeks that cant stand microsoft and thought “yes, now I have them right where I want them…” lol
then went on to write the above article
I dont think i’ll be upgrading,I meet the requirements but its not worth it.
Something tells me that vista has windows ME written all over it.
agreed, I don’t need a pretty interface that badly.
Not to mention the fact that…
A) No one can probably afford a legit copy of this nor would they spend the money if they could.
B) I highly doubt there will be a crack for Vista since MS probably fixed all the holes in XP’s WPA.
yeah… that and XP’s buggy enough in the meantime
i like how every time i reformat my pc has a new little trick to show me :touchy:
the way things are going, Apple may very well release a 64 bit OS before MS does. This would pair up nicely with the fact that the fastest XP Core duo laptop is the Apple MacBook Pro.
