nope. they train to estimate speeds within 5mph and the radar is used for verification. however, they can write the ticket based solely on the estimation.
Wrong. My brother in law is a Tonawanda cop and he’s speed certified. Does not need to be backed up by radar or laser. They don’t need to be backed up at all just certified. It’s like a 2 week course.
i got screwed over last summer in pembroke on the 90 by a trooper. was in a rental car doing about 70, and he pulled over an suv that just passed me and myself, couldnt tell me how fast i was going but gave me the same ticket for 80mph with the laser that he tagged the other guy with. they can give you a ticket just because they feel like it, they dont need an actual reason. luckily through a hookup i got it reduced to a parking ticket with a 200 dollar fine. they wanted to give me points with a reduced speed as my not guilty bargain.
Ah ok. I was pulled over once and the officer said my speed was visual first, then confirmed via radar. It’s good to know they can “guess” your speed here too.
Just get a PO Box out of state and have it forwarded to your addy and get an out of state license. Then you’ll never get points and will always just pay a fine.
walter is the biggest fggt ever, because he was proven wrong he’s gonna go the indirect route and make it sound like he was joking or somthing lame, like a fggt would do.
