Put it this way Sony owns them for a reason
The vizio’s are rather average displays. They dont do anything too well, but theyre not the worst by far.
If you dont really care too much and are on a tight budget, get one of those.
I have heard nothing but good things bout these. Plus you cant beat the price.
DING!!! Winner!
Best Buy cracks open the box and plugs them into the wall. Every time i’m in The Speaker Shop I am amazed at how crystal clear EVERY TV in there looks. There is so much to the initial setup of a TV, and it’s overlooked by just about EVERY retail outlet around.

their not calibrated, and you’re viewing them under florescent light.
so basically I can just turn up the contrast on the one I want to sell you today and you’ll pick the one that stands out.
welocome to sony marketing 101.
informed reviews vs. pricing is the way to buy a TV.
and by informed review I don’t mean your mom owns a visio and it succeeds in showing a 12 color gamut and has a check box for contrast ratio.
Lots of fucking :fail: in this thread, although it is to be expected with the people that have been posting the most.
Oh… so what you’re saying is that BB made the TV look good and it isn’t one of the best TVs ever made?
I thought for sure the Pioneer Elite was one of the best TVs ever made… actually, I’m pretty sure.
for your bedroom that tv will be great… i got my 50" samsung on black friday for under $800
Sure buy vizio, be happy if it lasts a year, and they are not made to be repairable FYI
And Sony has nothing to do with Vizio at all. Vizio is a american company, and they buy most of their parts from Sharp.
Samsungs are on about the same level as LG.
Sony LCDs are some of the best LCD’s out there and I do not like LCDs much at all.
The Samsung plasma/Lg plasma and panasonic plasmas are all about the same.
The pioneer elite plasmas are perfect, in every way.
Truth.
I’d take a fujitsu or marantz plasma over pioneer elite.
I just picked up the 42" 120hz one they have. Im really impressed with it for the price.
Picked it up at CC for less than $1,100.
Jeezus, for that price you could have got a 40" Sony S series.
I never saw the new 120hz models though, they might be alright…
ya i do notice the 120hz difference. playing xbox and watching stuff is so smooth.
only issue i have is the hdmi from my laptop to my tv has lines occasionally on my screen during the fast parts. i think it has to do with my laptop video card to my tv but i am not sure.
Thats more likely coming from your laptop, but its not good regardless.
yea 360 and tv and dvd player work amazing
ehh the Marantz Fujitsu we have are a bit green, the NEC on the other hand. Not one complaint.
the elites can be a touch red.
Already at a year and a half on both of my vizios with no issues. Also have a 3 year warranty, so I am not worried at all.
I have one, watching it right now… great TV for the money
