VOLK GT-C Face 2 info

Hi guys just wanted your opinion before I go ahead and order these rims:

Volk GT-C Face 2 Gold/bronze in colour 4x114

17x8 offset +9 (245/40/17) front

17x10 offset +34 (265/40r17) rear

I’m more concerned about suspension/alignment problems then rolling fenders. What am I looking at?

And BTW went with these offsets because they give the most rim depth

The best price i got was $440usd each for the 17x10" If you know anyone that will sell it cheaper, let me know.

BTW delivery time is 2-3 months

i can do the lines i guess but i want to get the fittings that make it easier.

as it stands i would have only the hard line fitting on both ends and a male to male 10mm adapter is needed for the other end. that is kinda weak and i would like to get the necessary fittings to make it a one shot deal.

by that i mean i want a 90 degree bend fitting (not sure what they are called) so that u dont have to bend the line.

Is this for an s13?

I think that doing 8 in front and 10 in the back is a bit too agressive.

Secondly, the offset in the front is actually a bit too low, your tire will be very square because of the size and you may actually need widebody fenders for the front.

The rear should be okay looks wise… you’ll need a minor roll with a 265 tire, however on an s13 there is a chance that it may not clear the coilovers.

Put it this way… 17x9 +20 leave only about a finger width between the wheel and the coilover, with a +35 the wheel would be pushed back 15mm more and there would be very little clearance… now add another 1/2" on each side… i think it’ll rub.

Fronts with +15 offset 17x8
Rears with +21 offset 17x9

I prefer to go with the 17x10 because that would be the optimal size for a 265 and 275

the car is a 1991 S13 HB

fitting 265s or 275s is tons of work on an S13 man.

Idealy I’d reccomend you go with 235 / 255 on a 9/10" wheel and just rape the body to make it all fit.

You can put 255 on a 17x9… 265 is pushing it a bit…

Just so you know, you will need a pull with 17x9 +21 and 255 tire…

My next question to you then is, why do you want different width front and rear rims? why not just get 17x9 +21 all around?

Thanks for all your input, much appreciated. Actually thinking about it now, you’re right I may go with 17x9 +21 all around. And for the rim sizes, I have looked at a few charts showing a 245 tire would be optimal on a 8’ width and 265 on a 10” width. I don’t remember the site off hand.

BTW can you tell me what wheel spec this car has?

Lol oh man haha want to hear a funny story, at the first driftday I was talking to chunky asking him about the wheel size and offsets. I couldn’t understand what he was saying since he was talking in english, so he wrote the sizes donw on the lip!

The rears were 18x9 +22 i BELIEVE or something like that, and the front the lip of the wheel was too small to make out what he wrote! haha but I do know the rears are 18s, whereas the fronts are 17s.

I was there with you when we asked him.

I think it was 17x8.5 +17 front and 18x9.5 +22 rear…

you gotta remember that he has wide body.

i’m thinking of going 17x9+5 on my GTR wheels
normally they are +30 and i’m going to run a 25mm spacer…
now i dont know how it’ll look as my spacers have not come in yet…
how different is it S13 vs S14…

btw i can get those volks cheaper than what u can get it for… i get 10% off retail… PM me when u have a chance
