I’m considering this car very soon - I went on a test drive a few weeks ago with the base auto-matic model, and it was quite fun. I can only guess that the manual fully loaded model is that much better.
What are your thoughts?

hot but $$$. Basically resurection of the old volvo 480 hatch which of course most ppl in NA don’t know as it was europe, africa, rest of the world only.
I have a Volvo 850, it’s built like a rocket brick, reliable and solid. The slightly newer stuff above mine was getting crap with Ford’s hand mendling… however the new stuff is pretty cool just unfortunately costly.
I’d get it.
This was a cool hatch, obviously outdated now, but back in the day hehe:
And yeah you could tune them and make them go fast
I suppose it’s current competition is the vw scirocco, honda civic, etc…
M experience in automotive sales and marketing for over 10 years sias:
Don’t buy a Volvo, they are good up to about 60,000kms, after that everything starts to break and leak. The cost of parts and repairs are stupid too. You might as well bet a BMW if you are going to get something that is expensive to fix you might as well by something that is more reliable.
I’m in Europe now and I can tell you that I hardly see them on the road here, so you can only imagine how crap they are.
I got a volvo 850, 235,000km solid as a brick
How many 06/07 9-3 aeros you see John?
Could it be because there are far better options/alternatives available in Europe?
They are not big Saab fans out here! ? It seems like Peugoet, Renault and Citroen are starting to domenate out here, it’s like the French are taking over the Germans or something? I also see a lot of VW, Seat and Scoda but as for Saab not too much.
That could be true now that I think about it. But I have also seen worse cars too. It just seems like Saabs and Volvos are rare, especialy in Southern European countries.
ya but they kill in the northen land
This’ll open your eyes, of course this is in germany not our shit hole province.
Comfort, reliability, no noise, fast, haha
And some BTCC lovin’
Wagon monster hehe
I didn’t see a single Saab while traveling in Europe this year.
Also, all the above mentioned brands including BMW, Audi and Benz is what I saw. (Of course, Porsche, Bugatti and Ferrari…)
From my experience, they like econo-boxes more then anything as gas is so damn expensive.
These cars make awesome sleepers + dailys
So do saabs, the most underrated car in history. Go to sweden and see what these guys do to these cars… 1000whp+ etc…
yea dont buy a volvo they suck shit
