Repub/Dem is a big scam trying to screw us all. If you want the Feds to STFU and stay out of your life, register and vote Libertarian.

If you want to see any change in this country vote your conscience, not the candidates you kind of agree with, that have a chance of winning.

First step is to increase registration with parties other than the main 2 crooked giants, so we can get some real candidates on the ballots.

As much as I disagree with both of those parties, I would much prefer you support them, than for us to always be in this R/D battle, where we just get screwed no matter what.

Those 2 parties have been in power for a long time. And if you really pay attention, they grow closer together each election. There are always a few issues being thrown about right before elections. But it’s pretty hard to come up with issues that Rs and Ds are always opposed to one another. They are both very inconsistent parties. There are some pro-gun Dems, there are some pro-abortion Repubs, there are plenty of Rs who support social programs, whether or not they admit it. They basically just keep themselves in power, and keep paying themselves more.

what’s the simple solution? a flat income tax? a flat sales tax? both fail on the concept that the incredibly poor and incredibly rich don’t spend proportionately. Someone living on minimum wage spends ALL of his income, and generally relies on his tax return to catch up, or barely get ahead. the incredibly rich don’t spend 100% of their income. only an exponential/graduated tax on income, combined with other taxes, can effectively generate enough revenue to finance what the government needs to spend. and before anyone says dick about cutting spending, the war in Iraq has cost more than anything I can think of.

What you WILL find in the Constitution is that the Federal government is charged with providing fo rthe defense of this country. So if the governemnt spends a boatload of money to defend this country, then that is what they are supposed to do.
The tax code is used to modify behaviour, and thats bullshit. The solution is NOT to raise taxes, the solution is to CUT FUCKING SPENDING!
