Voting for McCain = idiot

for reference, my Mentor of 5 years carried a nationally accredited MBA in Political science and was working towards his MBA in Global Economics… he was 27 years old. got his DEGREES while Serving this great nation…, thanks MURRRDOGGGGG

your blanket statement did it for you. dont back pedal on me now, youve got my attention.

When did I ever say that allllll military people were unintelligent, what i said was that JUST because your in the military does NOT make you enlightened in politics. Now you say that your mentor got his degree in political theory… therefore he does have knowledge on the subject. The point is that military experience does not guarentee political knowledge… thats what im saying.

and i NEVER said it did. i just said that you have to keep up with things in washington otherwise youre in the dark about alot of whats to come. being the Rank i was,i was in a middle managment position where the actions of my superiors, both positive and negative had a great impact upon how my life could be carried out, and when something happened, i would then have to work with what i had and make the most of it. i worked in an organization that lacked STRONG upper leadership, and it lacked the bearing and stability you need to operate. MUCH LIKE OUR CENTRAL GOVERMENT, ie. the president, vice, and his cabinet. also like that of our candidates. if they cannot show strong leadership abilities, and gain the trust of us, how can they run a country of MILLIONS.

agreed.

my Squadron was about 230 people with all officers and enlisted. mid way through our (my last) 2006-2007 deployment, our Commanding officer was relieved of duties 9 days into his 15 month tour of duty for fraternization with an enlisted female. the 3 star Admiral of our battle group and the Captain of our combat Airwing deemed him un able to operate and control a combat squadron. it ruined his career, but at the same time it ruined the morale and general welfare of the entire squadron, why, because if you cannot trust your CO to do things correctly, and uphold the written standards, who can you really trust. he, or she is the overall leadership. and if you think all of that is not political, youre very, very wrong.

I understand fully…but do you think that everyone else who has chimed in on this thread has some sort of decent understanding of politics? I don’t, especially when one of the candidates gets called a “porch monkey.”

You should probably just stay out of this

:jawdrop :lol

i dont care what he is called. im not a fan of barack obama, or john mccain, but ill tell you what, John mccain is a good american and so what if he has 91 houses he got money some how, and im sure it was from hard work. he is a US MARINE POW, Hanoi Hilton SURVIVOR. hes a-ok in my book for that reason. whether or not he wins, we will have to wait and see, and whoever wins, hopefully they live up to there claims, which im sure wont happen. its all political games. as you should be well aware of. its pre-election hype, to stir up the needy and try to capture another vote.

Right, thats what I’ll do. :nuts

Sums it up nicely when it comes down to the Brass tacs!

thats the spirit :thumb
