Aside from the racist Travis, this is a HUGE day in the history of America. A black man won the election. Perhaps you don’t like him? But, that’s a huge positive for our country given it’s diversity. Palin was nominated the VP. That’s a huge positive for females. What’s the voting count? Biggest since the 1960s?
Having an opinion and caring are different. Plenty of ignorant racist people voted purely based on that. I think caring is being educated about the candidates and choosing one you feel is best for you. This should be made regardless of skin, gender, etc…

The same for blacks for Obama but look at the voting map. McCain won the traditional red states. NY is a bit different as it goes Dem due to NYC area but there was a HUGE margin in some of the Southern States. I have no idea why/who people voted for but racism still runs deep in this country (ie Travis).

Same outcome but possible different interests. I have NO problem with some black 18 year old voting Obama because he is black. I expect the same for old white men with white hair. But, to say No Obama or McCain based on color is disgusting. It’s appauling given it’s near 2009 and we still have this problem. It’s dying off with the baby boomers but it’s still strong.
