You know what I found amusing today in my morning class. We had a discussion about Obama and the election and what not and this girl has an internship in another class prior to this class in which she had to go to Albany High this morning to observe and interview a few people.
What I found amusing was when this girl who had the internship mentioned how all the blacks at Albany High were running around screaming “Obama!” and cheering…and I made a comment on how they’re all just yelling and screaming his name because he’s black and he just became president. Then some Hispanic bitch got all defensive and responded with something about all of them are doing it for a reason and they know his views and blah blah blah. Yeah fucking right, they just voted/support him because he is black. Shit like this pisses me off because the illiterate blacks think they’re better because there is a HALF black president.
Well actually there are plenty of reasons to be happy and excited for him just because he is black.
There is a reason why this is a history making moment, it’s because he is visually different then every other president. When a member of the minority gets the most powerful position on earth, and you’re a member of that minority, you have full rights to be happy about it.
he’s half black, half white. Why do people insist on saying that he is black. He’s just as much white as he is black. I’m gonna start calling him white and see how many people I piss off.
No it’s not. Association is not racism. They are not voting for the black guy because they hate white people. They are voting for the black guy because he grew up the same way, went to the same school, has the same religious views. The sames goes for the rich guy that sees McCain. He might think McCain has his best interests vs some guy that grew up on food stamps.
The racist person goes: I ain’t voting for the white guy because he is white.
See the difference? Want me to use MS Paint to draw it out?
Apparently you DO need to draw it out. This has nothing to do with what you originally stated, see below I’ve spelled it out for you.
THAT is not association. That is racism. You completely contradict yourself in that post. Maybe what you meant to post and what you posted are 2 different things.
Wayne: Are you fucking retarded? You can’t see Person A looking at Person B and saying: “I am not voting for you. You are white” vs Person B looking at Person A and saying: “You grew up poor like me. I want to vote for you.” Yes, emphasize black. I used it specifically because a white person for a white person and a black person for a black person isn’t 100% based on COLOR. There are other factors here. In that example, the black person could be ANY minority. I intentionally said black for a reason.
NO I understand that there is a difference there. What i’m trying to get you to understand is that what you just posted IS NOT what you had posted previously. And what you posted previously is what I had called out. I completely agree with what you said above.
I hear all of this talk about assassination, but today it seems there’s too high of security/watch for people to take that attempt and succeed.
Also, people say this is a big “change” for America. I don’t really think it’s a huge change mainly because, sure we have a “black” president, but we still have the same old southern guy as VP. Biden made the comment in one of his interviews about how he thinks Obama will be tested in is first few months in office with a major crisis to see if he is in fact good and “fit” to be president of the United States.
