the housing market puked because people who worked at the places like walmart and cumberland farms cryed “we want a house too what the fuck” so the government passed laws that allowed banks to look at high risk people again high risk at the time was mostly anyone that didnt have a good paying job… then they gave the banks incentives by saying " we’ll cover you if it back fires… dont worry" hence the fucking bailout package that was just passed because the exact thing several experts warned about years ago has happend…
the cost of gas is back down to 2.61 and last i knew the oil was at like less then 68 dollars a barrel
the dollar is at an all time low yes but its been traveling there since 1977 when nixon took the us dollar off the gold standerd and converted it from being money to a currency. keep in mind all currencys eventualy hit zero… its just a matter of time.
theres no denying the economy is in the shit house im about ready to have my paycheck laminated and paste it at the bottom of my toilet. lol
i dont think they should regulate anything… they created two safety nets already that are fucked… and i mean really fucked… lol they cant even fix social security and medicare i mean come on…both plans are bankrupt, medicare is already operating in the red and social security will soo be operating in the red. In the first half of 2008 78 million baby boomers began to retire and most of them do not have enough retierment income to survive on. according to the goverment the obligations for social security are aproximately 10 trillion and the obligation for medicare is 64 trillion…if those numbers are acurate that means the 74 trillion owed to retirees by the united states government is more money then all the money available in all the worlds stock markets…this is a big fucking problem… so i think the government has done enough damage…and then throw in the fannie and fredy thing and its like wtf…

Good question. It can’t really be a monetary value because cost of living changes that. I’ll relate it to Schenectady area: Probably about $100K or so between the family. Both parents working with maybe 1 or 2 kids?
I pay taxes which the Gov’t gives to them. I donate charity. I also frequently give money to some people ont he street. Not much but I got my own issues to handle.

To me, we have poverty, lower middle, middle, upper middle and above… there are more official names, but we get the point. These four groups make up a huge majority of Americans. Just when and why are we all to be on equal economic platforms?
Liberty demands we banter, its the gift the country gives. In the soul of the current campaign is vacuum, one which will restrict liberty (in far more social ways than the shitty Patriot Act) tax us and a desire to make decisions for people, people the liberal left believes we can’t make for themselves.
The sad part is, some can’t make decisions for themselves (aka buying a home you cant afford and entering into a ridiculous loan)… and just like in real life, the trend it add more controls so those incapable to make a decision, can’t be pull in the wrong way.
I propose we have a competency test for the right to vote… something simple… like who is the current president and vice president… and such.
