Got a strange one for ya. 99 jetta 2.0 car will over heat only when the blowermotor is on and set to vent. if on ac or off it wont. Yet the fans come on around 228 … any ideas? coolant level is fine. ?? thanks. just a strange one, car seems to have good coolant flow also.
yea its a bit over 84k. and no it hasnt been changed,
your water pump dismantled itself. – They usually go out at exactly 70k… consider yourself lucky 
if the timing belt has never been changed the water pump has not, change it, it will fix ur problem

Yep she was a waterpump. Changed that bitch out, popped a new belt and tensioner on, thermostat and some fresh coolant, she runs great again…
