I couldn’t care less if you think car salesman are trustworthy or not. Just like you say all policeman are slimy scumbag power abusers, your point of view isn’t exactly worth shit. There’s bad eggs in every business, and while I will not say I’m the best sales guy in the world, I will say I am one of the most honest.
i never once said all cops are that. i say there are bad ones out there so dont think they are all the perfect cop. i like some police. joe arpiao is a great man
It is very apparent that you have no idea how commission based pay works. It is different for every field. Most realtors get paid a percentage of the final sale price. Car sales guys usually get paid a percentage of the gross on the vehicle.
how is it apparent i dont understand commission based pay?
A car sells for X, and we own it for Y, then the gross is Z. X-Y=Z. We get paid a percentage of that Z. If we lose money on the vehicle, or there’s little to no gross on the vehicle, we get a minimum of $100 for a sale. I can show you my latest commission sheet so you can see that our company has lost money on more than half of the vehicles I’ve sold . It is VERY common on new vehicles to be a minimum commission deal unless the customer was paying sticker price, which, lets face it, almost never happens. Not when there’s so much competition in such a short distance. We have brand competition and dealer competition. Meaning there’s Lia Honda and Toyota on the same street, as well as Lia Nissan who is a more direct competitor. There’s also Saratoga Nissan, Nemith Nissan, etc… within miles from us. That means a customer can EASILY shop multiple dealerships for whoever gives them the best price, service, etc…
if your company has lost money on the sales you made how are you still working?
your company must of made money sometime in order to be in business
so when do you make money? selling a car?
After you read this and feel a little beat, please stop posting in my thread.
i read that and i felt like i needed to clear some things up. misleading info like “i dont make money i loose it when i sell a car and give you $100” is the reason i post. i like to clear the things up that are misleading. the fact you would give me $100 to give you a buyer helps you more than $100 does or you wouldnt offer it. you would keep the $$ and find buyers yourself. so this must help you more than loosing money
