Yea man, come on down. Wednesdays and Thursdays are usually the slower days when I have more time, though today was slow as fuck. This weekend should be good w/ the sun out and temps above 40.
Nice offer Cossey! Nobody I know needs a new car though atm.
My buddy used to work there as a mechanic but got laid off shortly after the switch from Dodge to Nissan.
I don’t know why, but he still has his box there with all his tools. Lazy bastard won’t pick it up, or have Snap-On get it. I don’t know how someone could leave ~$6k+ in tools/box at a place they don’t work at anymore.
… I’m glad to know that you think you know me so well? I’m most likely trading my X5 in on an Altima for lease now. It’ll be free for me, plus I get a check for my X5.
Also, the Juke is considered a crossover, not a car.
I couldn’t care less if you think car salesman are trustworthy or not. Just like you say all policeman are slimy scumbag power abusers, your point of view isn’t exactly worth shit. There’s bad eggs in every business, and while I will not say I’m the best sales guy in the world, I will say I am one of the most honest.
It is very apparent that you have no idea how commission based pay works. It is different for every field. Most realtors get paid a percentage of the final sale price. Car sales guys usually get paid a percentage of the gross on the vehicle. A car sells for X, and we own it for Y, then the gross is Z. X-Y=Z. We get paid a percentage of that Z. If we lose money on the vehicle, or there’s little to no gross on the vehicle, we get a minimum of $100 for a sale. I can show you my latest commission sheet so you can see that our company has lost money on more than half of the vehicles I’ve sold. It is VERY common on new vehicles to be a minimum commission deal unless the customer was paying sticker price, which, lets face it, almost never happens. Not when there’s so much competition in such a short distance. We have brand competition and dealer competition. Meaning there’s Lia Honda and Toyota on the same street, as well as Lia Nissan who is a more direct competitor. There’s also Saratoga Nissan, Nemith Nissan, etc… within miles from us. That means a customer can EASILY shop multiple dealerships for whoever gives them the best price, service, etc…
After you read this and feel a little beat, please stop posting in my thread.
i read that and i felt like i needed to clear some things up. misleading info like “i dont make money i loose it when i sell a car and give you $100” is the reason i post. i like to clear the things up that are misleading. the fact you would give me $100 to give you a buyer helps you more than $100 does or you wouldnt offer it. you would keep the $$ and find buyers yourself. so this must help you more than loosing money
He’s trying to establish a customer base you dolt. You lose money in the beginning to build a good name for yourself. It’s a calculated loss that i am sure the dealer has accounted for.
You have to start somewhere to get cliental in the door, take for instance crazybrew on here works at VW and ask ANYONE on here who has dealt with him and I guarantee they refer you to him if someone asks where to go for a VW. Its about giving yourself a good rep and continuing to get more and more customers to make up for what you may have lost to start.
