What do they base the numbers on for the Ceffy?
no idea, the etest tech, called the ministry’s number for etests. They told him how to enter the car, entered the “vin”, the weight and the displacement and WHAM. the computer spit out those almost impossible numbers to pass.
Quite pethetic really that it’s easier to pass a civic than a grey market vehicle. But like i say, the system spit out the numbers.
As far as sr’s go, you shouldn’t even get hotrod status on the car accoding to the same etest tech. I had him ask when he called about how to test the vehicle.
I was told that SINCE the car came with that motor that it isn’t a hotrod, even tho the car was sold under a different name with a different motor here.
Yeah the law dealing with this doesn’t clarify whether or not the motor had to have been available domestically or not.
(it’s Ontario regulation 361/98 if anyone cares)
i passed with no tuning, no egr, no charcol canister and 94 octane, with a jug of that sure pass shit
I lve the sure pass shit
read the back of the label
“car will GARUNTEED PASS! all mechanical parts on your car must be working otherwise garuntee is void”
hahaha
i beleive its just gasline antifreeze.
a couple of jugs of that will do the same thing
i suggest not to go to a shady looking shop to get e-tests done, i work at a shop and have my e-test liscence (3 hours in a classroom). getting a car to fail is as easy as driving it in the wrong gear or even pressing the " fail" button.
Yea, I slipped my guy a $20 to not press that button. :hsugh:
