Each side has their quacks, but honestly I see the “attack on religion” as being really blown out of proportion. As things like proposition 8 can attest to. Religion is alive and well in this country, more so than in any other western nation.

Interesting, although i will never be convinced by the argument of an atheist. they really have very little or nothing to reference in their arguments. People think that all crhistians have is the bible but thats the furthest thing from the truth. There are thousands of books supporting the case for christ. these are very good videos.

But tell me what does an atheist on his deathbed have to do with the existence of a higher power. This world is full of a bunch of cowards. Voltaire, and whomever was in the video are no different. They know their life is coming to an end, and instead of just accepting it, they plead their case to get into this after life, despite not believing it really exists.
Its like winning the lottery. you play a dollar and hope for a million more.

God’s 7 days of creation
Day 1 - Let there be light. Ok we’ll consider that t=0, and completely forget about the 9,131,469 other stars out there which were formed over 100 Billion years. So Sun BAM created t = 0 AKA Day one…
The first day of earth’s creation was literally the first “day” as someone on earth’s surface would experience it - a period of opaque light, and a period of darkness. (Genesis 1:3-5)
So the earth was here before the sun… and it was just one big solid ground with nothing, it finally has light though.
Note t=0=4.5 Billion Years ago.
Day 2 - WATER! (1 Billion to 500 Million years ago) t=3.5 Billion. So we have light and water now.
Day 3 - Dry Ground again… (4.5 Billion years with the sun) t = 0 again. We had light then a big ball of water… now we have our dry ground again…
Well Scientists say that the earth was one big ball of magma, then cooled and water condensed. Seems like a conflict to me.
Day 4 - ??? t = WTF
The Fourth Day

Day 5 - Birds and sea creatures, well the first organism. T=3.8 Billion. It was created in the oceans, we can just assume it was after this 700 Million years ago is a decent estimate.
Day 6 - Land animals. 430 Million years ago T = 4.1ish Billion. Humans were first found to exist 60,000 years ago… Looks like Day 6 was a really long day.
Day 7 - God takes a much needed break of time travel, and making shit backwards.
So… Yea. Time line time…
Scientists (7 days in quotes)
100 Billion, Big bang, energy is created, mass starts forming (Day 4)
4.5 Billion Sun is created (Day 1)
?? (too lazy to look) Earth Dry gound (Day 3)
1 Billion Earth cools enough for water to start condensing (Day 2)
1 Billion to 500 Million - Creatures form (Day 5)
430 Million to 60,000 - land and human creatures (Day 6)

So my mother was looking through some books in the religious section and I HAD to see what religious fiction was all about. … OMG a davey and Goliath murder mystery, will the slingshot of justice save davey from the mighty hydra that is ravaging the town… LETS FIND OUT IN A 5 book series!
anyway, I hold up a book and ask my mother if this was the book she was looking for. She felt the need to inform me that, that was the religious fiction that I was looking in. Pretty much she set herself up for a comment loud enough for everyone in the religious section to stare daggers at me and at her for raising a non god fearing individual.
Tangent (not that I wasn’t on one already or anything): I was about 5 thousand dollars off of not reenlisting this time around becuase of the last few words - “So Help Me God”
I’m going to have to inquire about that one the next time this rolls around and see if I can get the words modified. I’ll probably be shown the door. Which is fine with me. I won’t be bought off again to say those words that still make me cringe

Did you know that nearly 99 percent of the religions that are scarily similar to christianity were created decades and even centuries after the bible was written? Im not saing the bible is perfect, perfection doesnt exist on this planet. The bible has holes, and it has things missing from it thanks to the catholic church and the knights templar. The other thing you have to remember is that true theoligical reseacher and christian, will NEVER defend the catholic church. Studys and evidence shows that the catholic church is the whore of babylon. The catholic church is the demon in disguise that christ talked about. The vatican has commited more attrocities and acts of “terrorism” than anyone else could ever wish to commit. But i was seriously questiong my faith for a couple years too, while i was reading. The bible isnt the only thing to read about christianity. Stop pointing at all the things wrong with christianity and read some damn books. I have dozens if you would like borrow them. Some are in excess of 100 to 200 dollars though so i might not lend those ones out.

the first few sentences were a little childish but his statment was ludicrous. Its like someone saying for sure that they know that there is no god. Just saying the bible is fiction with no reference and no facts to support it is just stupid really.
edit–> and if u watch zeitgeist i strongly recommend you watch the video i posted that debunks zeitgeist. Zeitgeist uses terrible refernces adn they use one book that has beenr idiculed by several religions for blantanly lieing about them and badly misinterpreting texts.
Read the story of Noah’s Ark…if the entire earth was covered in water the hydrogen levels in the air would be so high that it would make living impossible.
