Well, my Subaru is in for work, getting repainted, also, the high beams don’t work.
I know Subaru has a 3/36 FULL BTB warranty… I wore through a set of pads all the way around at 9k miles, and the front rotors were also bad, so I replaced them too. I never replaced the rear rotors because they were in good shape, but I guess I was wrong, they have been vibrating on harder stops ( i know it’s coming from the rear)
SHOULD Subaru replace the rear rotors under warranty? I ask you guys because the dealership is already throwing away a few grand on my car for a repaint and a rental car, and I don’t want them to dick me over on my warranty because of it.
The reason I replaced all the brakes my self (besides rear rotors) is they were shot, and I didn’t think Subaru would replace them, but my friend who is a tech at toyota, and USED to work at Subaru said subaru has a full maintenance plan 3/36 including wear and tear items
Because I could see them saying, Um,no, that is from aggressive driving, hence why I asked here. They are already looking at the car, so I just don’t want to get a $300 bill after this is all done.
BTW:I’m stuck with a toyota prius for a rental, 50mpg ftw
He was able to
turn the traction control off with a button on his dash and that solved his beach
driving problem as it allowed him to engage both front wheels simultaneously.
I went around in circles with Mazda over warranty brakes on my wife’s protege, as she basically needed all new pads and rotors every spring the first 3 years she owned it. I bitched my way up the chain, talking them in circles, but got nothing but “brakes are normal wear and tear and only covered for 12 months.” Her problem was a bit different, as the pads would seize and chew up the discs, but still.
Wearable item. I can almost guarantee they won’t replace them. Old ladies ride the brakes like woah, they don’t get them replaced for their bad driving habits.
It took me a minute and that included finding what year WRX you had
Wear Item Limited Warranty
Wear item coverage is 3 year or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Items covered are brake pad/shoe linings, clutch linings, and wiper blades.
rotors should be covered at the very least 12mo/12k from inservice date. any the dealership is not spending money on your car by doing warranty work…they are making money. If there is any way for them to put a claim in through suby. im sure they would.
