my farewell pics of my car. leaving tom. morning to meet a guy from NJ. wasnt sure if this day would ever come, i am def going to miss this car. owned it for 3 years or so, one of the cleanest cars i have owned.
little brief history on the car, picked it up in kansas with 200k miles on the chassis, but not a spot of rust. drove it home with a blown center dif and being chased by a massive ice storm. first mods were 6 bolt swap, new tranny, 16g, FMIC, 680’s, and dsmlink etc. took me a while to get the hang of the car, first time ever at the track ran 13.2 at 108 on stock clutch.
next i bought a fp green, built 6 bolt, act2600, fidanze flywheel, some 880’s, and fp2 cams and turned the boost up some more. ran 11.73 at 119.
then finally bought the fp3065, JMF SMIM, built head, and ran 11.34 at 122. did all the work and tuning on the car myself, and could not have been happier with the overall outcome. all runs were done with 93 octane, street tires, and full interior. i know for sure i could have hit my 10’s with some race gas, but i wanted to take this as far as possible on pump.
everyone looks at me like i am crazy for selling it, but its time to move onto new projects, something a little less built, and more maintance free. got an offer i couldnt refuse, plus i have another black 2g in the works. going to be a mild build for now, but who knows, dsmbug might bite me hard again. here are some pics of my baby resting next to her new replacement:
