I’m drunk what are we looking at?
Woah are you doing it yourself?
I watch watch cleaning/fixing videos on YouTube. That’s no easy task.
amazing…
Been watching YT vids for quite some time as well, mostly Marshall but others as well. Really enjoy learning the intricacies of mechanical watches and find it fascinating. Mass purchased what i think I’ll need tool wise. Really planned on some basic pre-man movements to assemble complete watches to start. Wanted to service some of my own but thought I’d wait for awhile but I figured if I can get through the smaller movement, everything else should pale in comparison…so i just did it.
That’s awesome
are you testing your results?
like measuring accuracy before and after you got in to it?
impressive endeavour
And here I thought it was cool fixing my wife’s old miniature german cuckoo clock yesterday.
Couldn’t test this first one. Timegrapher coming this week so I will be in the future. Also coming today is a digital microsope. It has pic and vid capabilities so that will be nice.
Also plan on mild case / crystal restoration when called for.
So the bulk of my larger tools arrived today. Couple more items arriving this week and I’m sure some more as time goes on.
Tossed my Oris Aquis (which I’m certain I bought from someone on here) on the timegrapher. Actually seems to be running quite well except for the amplitude, but I didnt have a full wind on it. I don’t think it’s worth tearing down as its running surprisingly well. I am going to work on polishing the hands, case, and bracelet.
Here’s the current setup for now…
nice set up.
Heck yeah
Fancy.
If my calculator watch needs to be fixed, I know where to go.
Well done
Hand setting tool and mainspring winders came in today…
Picked up an Oris Big Crown Pointer date last week. Should be here in a few days…
You’re down the rabbit hole I would have been with watches if my wife didn’t put the slap down. Love to see it.
