B-Rock wore one before he met Mike.

Andddd the terrorists loved it too, made really nice IEDs.

Just finished this one up this afternoon. 50’s era Benrus 3 Star with an ETA 2451 movement. Not thrilled with the beat error but I’m just too tired to pull apart the balance. Decided to blue the screws for a little pop. Think it looks nice…

I guess I already owned an old watch.

I have had this little guy kicking around my tool box for 25 years.

Seems to run fast and has lots of scratches because I was a kid when I got it from my uncle.

feels like it is about the same size as that ring watch.

I’ve always liked Hamilton. 33mm is small though.

  • Movement: The “9219 movement” is almost always the ETA 2750, a manual-wind mechanical caliber.

  • Characteristics: It is a robust and reliable movement, produced by ETA from 1969 to 1982.

  • Features: The ETA 2750 has a longer-than-average mainspring, which gives it a 50-hour power reserve, and features Incabloc shock insulation.

  • Other instances: Some co-branded Hamilton 9219 models have been seen with a quartz movement, the ETA 963.

Associated watch

  • Hamilton Khaki Field: The 9219 reference is primarily linked to the vintage Hamilton Khaki Field manual-wind watch.

  • Variations: You might see the 9219 in variations like the “Khaki L.L. Bean,” the “Avirex Branded,” or “Khaki Mate” models.

  • Design: These watches are known for their classic military field watch design, with a 33mm stainless steel case.

Brought this out of the gallery for a walk. Super generous guy gave it to me from another forum. Loaded with the Valjoux 7750 movement. Runs quite well.

I was looking into finding a new lens to see if I could clean it up my watch some, not that i’ll ever wear it and come across this.

I don’t think I’ll ever open a watch again  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbOH5Ivyx8Q

its different than mine, but the production value of the vid is very high.

I like his vids. My understanding of “radioactive” dials being dangerous is a little overblown, according to professionals.

Fella sent me this one the other day. Probably going to swap in an NH36 movement as my time to service the original movement would outweigh the cost of new…

Saw a double dome red AR crystal swap on another watch awhile back. Finally came in for my Seiko Flightmaster. Much improved…I think.
