Watch Crew: What to buy?

That’s mostly BS. You can find solid used deals on a couple forums.

It all depends on the savings. There is definitely good value in working with a jeweler and having a good relationship with them, but you’ll probably save a ton on overstock.

Saw this on another forum… anyone care to guess the total value? http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=125096&d=1275242355

GAME OVER!

Needed a new watch for work.

Decided to go for Bulova.

Picked the Marine Star 96b113

Really liked the Automatic 96A106, but it had no date, which I can’t live without.

Audemars and Richard Mille? Maybe a Hublot Big Bang?

I’d say you have about $500k there.

I sold my ORIS F1… again…

pulled a tidy profit on it too… in the market casually but may decide to buy a set of wheels instead.

I want an Omega Triple Calendar… this 18k one would be nice… but more than i want to spend this year.

I’d actually prefer this one based on price…

i bid on a few last year but went with the ORIS XXL instead… pretty happy with it actually.

Another conisderation is replacing my Omega cal 265 with a vintage IWC pocket conversion:

in the budget range… but i’d have to move the Omega first and i’m a bit nervous about doing that.

oh… and updated shots of my Omega:

Love that IWC Bing. You should scoop it. And btw, those were all RM and ROOs. I picked up my first AP for my bday this year.

Bing which Oris F1 did you have?

1 model out F1 Williams Day Date… there are pics of it in this thread back a ways… non-chrono.

i’d recommend it to anyone as a first step into swiss autos. nice and cheap, already bottomed out on its value (wont lose a grip on it) and it’s not too flashy.

You can get good ones for $500 all day long… i sold mine for a bit more than that.

Yeah I am enjoying my Williams F1 2008 (not sure if it goes by another name)

I want to add some more to the collection but it is hard to nail down what exactly I want next.

i think you want one of mine so that i can upgrade

I have an offer on my Omega that would see me obtain one of two or both of these watches in trade… anyone insterested?

Oris Artelier Pointer Date:

or

Hamilton Khaki Chronograph

Oris has the box papers ~$800, Hamilton has neither ~$600

How old is that Omega bing? I dig the classic look

1942 - 1945 ish.

it’s a great piece but i don’t ever wear it because of the size.

I thought hamilton watches were pretty cheap? Is this an older one?

What size is the Omega? What is the price? Any other details shoot me a pm. I have been looking at some but they all seem to be small.

I really like both Oris and Hamilton’s, but I prefer the black.

I think I am going to start buttering up the lady to buy me an Oris Williams F1 as a wedding gift

The 2008? I love mine, all my other watches are collecting dust.

Picked up some new ones lately.

yep, I want one with a stainless band

wanna sell it? lol

This is a couple years old probably… it retails in the $1XXX range for sure. It has a Vajoux 7750 in it so it’s not super cheap. any 7750 will be $1,500 - $10k

The omega is 34mm. My KIJIJI Ad

I set the asking price a bit high but it put me in good shape for trade talk… Truthfully, if you were to purchase this Omega in any kind of store you would not get it in this good a shape and would also pay more. There is a watch place in London, Ontario that sells these for in the $1,100 - $1,400 range + 13% tax and they are rarely this clean and in this dial config.
