That’s your drinking watch now.
GO, PAM, and AP.
efff.
pics?
Not yet. Need something to replace it first. Overstock and bing cashback landed me a great deal on it. I miss bing CB.
It is a really sharp watch but I have to agree with you on the size. Being a bigger guy I really only wear stuff 42mm+ with the occassional 40mm.
My Hamilton was 38mm and I found I never wore it because of the size.
My dad has a 60’s seamaster that was rough. He sent it across the pond getting reconditioned by the factory and now is even more beautiful. I think that one is closer to a 40 though.
both of mine are 38mm, they look kind of small. I tried on some breitlings at the jewelry store. I thought they were going to look ridiculously big, but I actually was digging it. Kind of sparked my interest for a higher end watch. Even if I had the money, I don’t think I would want to spend 4k+ on a watch ATM. I would love to get an Oris in the $1k range though. I’m not really into the vintage look. I don’t even wear the Hamilton I got from you(BigRon) much at all.
Rolex Datejusts come in 40mm+ now… they were always 36 - 38mm before.
still gay though.
Send it to my shop and I can take care of it for you. PM me if you want the address.
^can anybody vouch for this guy lol.
Thatd be a super easy way to walk off with some 20k watches in this thread… lol (my watch is NOWHERE near that much)
whats your shop btw and what do you do?
My dad and I own Buffalo Watch and Clock repair in Hamburg. We have a website thats still under construction but its www.buffalowatch.com. I’ve done some work for a few members on here before. Also, if you’d like, you could send your watch to a friend of yours that still lives in the area and have them bring it in. Either way, I should be able to take care of it for you.
^
Fuck yes!
Nice buy.
PAM00365, that is all.
X, nice watch…
i was watch hunting on my vacation in Florida / Vegas for the last couple weeks. Saw a lot of Daytona’s, date justs, submariners etc. etc… i can’t believe Rolex’s hold value so well when there are just so many of them out there… i must have gone to 15 different places and didnt see a single Speedmaster for sale… i did see some good previously worn IWC’s though.
Also, the Movado outlet in Estero, FL has 70% off of EBEL watches…
Tarawa / Brasilia … both 70% off retail… $1250 - $1440 each after discount… No wonder no one wears EBEL. If you can get them from the AD that cheap they cannot hold their value.
i didnt notice in this thread but anyone have any input of Tourby watches? i really like the Big Pilot watches. the skeleton series is nice too.

CHINA!
doesnt mean they’re bad though… There are a whole wack of brands using chinese versions of swiss movements in homage watches.
I forget the names but there are dozens of them all over ebay with identical pieces.
it’s kind of like how the same chinese car parts get branded by OBX, Megan, CX Racing, TopSpeed, Circuit Sport, ISIS, X02 Racing etc. etc.
i realize that it says its made in Germany… i doubt that… i’ve seen at least a half dozen other peices that look identical to it made in china… its a kncok of an IWC Big Pilot

Seagull
B-uhr
Asian Unitas
It goes on forever… every watch here is under a hundo
i didnt look into them, ran across them on another side and liked them so i thought id ask. they are def more then 100 on their site, thats for sure. Are those possible rip offs of the tourby watches or is tourby just an expensive knockoff? i notice the back of the tourby has swiss engraved into the inside where the ebay knock offs dont.
It seems like most of them are under a thousand dollars, by that price point I would think they are not a knock-off, but I would be worried about getting it fixed or serviced if something went wrong with it.
X…
I would be careful spending “a lot” of money on a watch if you cannot find any reputable information on their history as watchmakers.
edit:
Apparently tourby is a watchuseek.com sponsor, so at least that means they’re probably a legit company. A few google searches and I have seen people mentioning quality control issues. One person stated theirs fell apart during shipping, and another had to be sent back because the hands fell off and the movement went out of wack.
If you like that style, you should check out Hamilton. They’re a long standing company who is now owned by the Swatch group. The look is similar to the Tourby.
