okay, 90 something outside so the gf and i goto the wave pool at boyce park (plum)… :ugh2: was it get in free with a bad tatoo or saggy boobs day???
way to crowded, lines for just a soda (or pop) were 50 feet long… lotsa wankstas…
is it expensive to keep a pool up. cause we got into one of those hypothetical discussions about ‘our new home’ in 5 years and i wanta pool. i’ve dug them… which sucks, but i have no idea what it takes in time and money to keep them clean :dunno:
Well, we have a inground that goes to 8 feet in depth. The biggest pain is getting it ready for the season, and preparing it for the winter. In the spring you have to remove the cover (if you cover it) then put the bump out and hook it up (thats if its located outside) then you have to clean all the leaves and shit out, vac it (and since our is so big its a pain, but a dincky above ground one will be super easy to vac) once you get it all vaced you have to add the chemicals, and all that basic shit. Right now though are pool is in desrepair, theres no liner since we are getting a new one, so its empty, plus we are trying to track down a leak somewhere in the pool (think we found it though) Then in the winter you have to cover it, if you dont, it just makes shit harder in the spring/summer since you have to get all the heavy shit out of the pool the cover would have got. If your pump and everything is outside you have to unhook it and bring it inside. And you can even get some water out so that its below the jets so there no water in them in the winter to freeze, although most should be deep enough in the ground that they are cool.
Anyways, a pool is fun, as long as you keep it clean all the time, if you dont then alge starts growing and then it gets out of control and you have to clean the whole pool. But give it a water test everyday or so, run the pump once a day, and so on, just keep on top of it is the key.
Indoor pool>outdoor pool…that wave pool sux0rs…too many ppl, not enought space…ugh :ugh: although I don’t have A pool…,cept we do have a hottub which sucks in the summer…heat pwns all… but it kicks azz in the winter, snow all around chillin in the hottub…
i take care of 6 pool/spas every day. Not that hard. Non commercial pools are even easier. But the others are right, the bitch is opening/winterizing them. But still, its just an afternoon’s work in the spring and the same in the fall.
