Some interesting points specifically Verizon has doubled the early terminiation fee to $350 and reduces it only $10 each month… the purpose is to help them recoup lost subsidy pricing which is understandable but much less as the contract ends and eventually $0?
well you can thanks the scumbags that have been scamming their BOGO on blackberries for this.
yea, they are simply closing a loophole.
Wow. Glad I got out when it was $175.
although, it would make more sense if the ETF went down by 15/month (instead of 10), so that it would be a $0 dollar ETF by the end of the contract. The current model would make it $110 by the end of the contract.
Edit: Also, if you simply downgrade to a non-smartphone, you can end it cheaper. Just keep an old clunker phone around.
Glad I got out of mine for free. Remember that thing about administrative fees and the part in the contract about having any adverse affect at all on your bill? Worked gloriously.
Ya I have never fought so much for $0.30 in my life but it got me out of my contract and to ATT.
lol. I was very thorough with my request, and they couldn’t argue shit. All I had to do was keep repeating myself until they finally looked at the contract themselves. Took 15 minutes, and boom, ATT.
Ya they kept saying well we can waive the fee for you and you can keep your account. Kept repeating the copy of my contract that I can opt out of my term within 30 days of the notice and I am choosing to exercise my right to do so.
