long story short, someone was painting the side of a buildling and got some paint splatter on the side of my moms car. somebody told her to use wd-40 to get it off. sounds sketchy to me, anybody ever hear of this?
go to autozone and buy mothers clay bar kit.
If you cant find that brand get another claybar kit…
the clay magic one sucked IMO. I tried it a few years ago and it seemed to fall apart I cried a little when that happend. Still, A better choice then wd40
i think i actually have both clays…i liek the claymagic spray better…but they dont give u enough :)…all it is AutoMagic Body Shine available at AL-WIL
wd-40 sounds like a bad idea to me. I also would go with the mothers clay bar, i’ve used it before and it seemed to work pretty good.
WD-40 is good on Bee stings  (it sounds crazy but it is a family secret) but it will probably be bad for the paint so i agree with everyone else and use the clay bar stuff
lol because you know it works. that stuff is like magic
Suprisingly enough, WD-40 has a lot of usages. It doesn’t really harm paint. Used to use it on my old dirt-bike (Metal fenders, tank with no clear-coat) before going out, would prevent scratching when removing the mud/clay, and made it super easy to clean off afterwards.
It also is suprisingly effective at removing grease. But as for paint splatter, I’m doubt it would do anything unless it’s a softer latex based paint, or if it was still fresh.
I’d say claybar at this point.
uh, what kind of paint did they get on the car?
whatever they use for the outside of buildings
