Me and the lady are looking for some place to get away for the weekend, kinda close to home, i would rather not cross the boarder but if there is something worth while over there i could cross.
anyone got any good ideas?
splash lagoon is sold out every weekend for the rest of the month…
i am taking my girlfriend to Toronto in may when her sched calms down. yes as long as your debit card have credit ability you are fine. straight debit cards wont work.
i use my debt card for traveling all the time in hotels.
they take a bit more out per night, i think most charge $50 on your bill so if the room is $200 a night, they charge you $250 when you check in and if you stay 2 nights, you pay $500 when you check in and after you leave they give you back the $50 from each night if you dont use it.
if you want someplace quiet so you can have some quality time then i would suggest a bed and breakfast because my wife and i love doing that. pick a random place and go, its fun to go somewhere you wouldn’t normally go to.
if you want action toronto is the way to go. we go there when we want a weekend of craziness in and out of the hotel room. go see a play or show or something, sometimes they are actually pretty decent, even for guys
This is a tough month since its Spring Break month but check out Jet Blue. I went with my friend to Flordia one weekend to see her parents and it was like 89 each way or something if you flew early saturday to late sunday.
Peak n peak is small, if you plan on staying a weekend. If you know how to ski/board at all try Gore Mt. Its a little closer then IceFace and they usually have great snow.
All in all they are all fun for a winter weekend get away.
Try going to one of these places, but only ski one day. Take the other day to walk around town. Get a nice lunch/dinner, and visit all the unique shops.
Also: Take the back roads. The threw way is boring as hell. You will see a lot more cool things along the old 219 or the older rts and will still make it in ok time.
Luck.
Allegany and Letchworth parks are always nice too.
