i think the problem is that the supercharger that comes on them from the factory is desinged to run at max. efficiency from the factory. by adding a pully, it runs the supercharger too hard, thus producing a LOT of extra heat in the engin compartment. I havent actually seen the car that i am talking about, and i only heard about it from my cousin, but i do kno that only other mods he had were intake and exhaust. perhaps it was a bad idea to bring it up in the first place seen as how i never actually saw the car. my bad. carry on!
you’ll have to contend with the focus for that
True dat… and Cory hasn’t shown what he’s bringing to the table for next season yet, either.
Oh yeah, and on topic…
Congrats on the purchase.
:snky: :snky: in the maxima haaa haaa…ok not really…i jsut have loads of fun
It’s about time someone else bought a cobalt ss/sc. There aren’t a whole bunch of upgrades out for it yet. K and N has an intake along with Injen. Magnaflow has a catback for the LOW LOW price of $600 something lol. The GM upgrades are supossedly(can’t spell) coming out the first quarter of 2006 which is great because I found out that the stock injectors are running at 95% duty cycle at wide open throttle in stock form. Cobaltss.net is a decent place to find out select pieces of info on it. Nice pickup btw
thx yeah im not use to it yet cuz i been driving my eclipse for so long but it is very nice iam pleased with it.
I walked out to one of the UB parking lots closest to J.J. audubon yesterday and there was a red cobalt ss parked there, it looked brand new. Is that either of yours? The front bumper looked like a damn snowplow, is that stock cuz thats the first thing i’d replace.
I think it looks good
please dont tell me you’re the guy that stares me down everytime you drive past me on main st.
I agree - way better than the last gen cavy. But to pick it over an EVO? You must have gotten a sweet deal on it…
-----OFF-TOPIC ALERT!------
If you are doing a work assignment, the worker chief must be notified of it, even if it is “working in the food tent”. Otherwise, you will loose your times.
I dont know… probably cheeper than an evo and IMHO, I think it looks a little better.
granted not the same performance (evo owns it bad) but not a bad pick by any means
—OFF TOPIC RESONSE—
Brett ususally took care of it for me cause Jeremy would always tell them…I did it all year and didnt have a problem all year until the last event
first thing i would do is pull your fuse cover off in the center console and cover the heater control wires with split loom! we worked on a slobalt ss sc a few weeks after the guy got it and we went into the fuse pannel and were checking the pannel and noticed that wires were sparking and the heat would shut on and off. turns out gm never coverd the wires in the dash and they grind against the metal brackets for the console. just a suggestion if you dont want any problems down the line. however i like what they did to the exterior and the upgrade seats are nice i just dont like the interior plastic.
baH! i forgot about you, lol…
ok…so top 3 i suppose.
On Topic
…are you planning on doing anything else to your car soon or are you going to just keep it stock?
Prob just keep it stock for a lil bit cuz i wanna do alot of stuff to the eclipse still but later on i will.
eclipsepimp email’d the pics to me. here they are.
nice car
thx for all your comments
Nice, but I ahve to wonder what the hell they were thinking with that rear… I dont like the big bumper look. Otherwise, nice pick there.
A must have item for the car
