Well i know most of you guys, thought i was just bull shitting about, “wait till spring” … but i did get my car running and tuned with the new setup. The work was done by me in my garage. And also my buddy (there are just some things you have to do with someone else). The car has been tuned and dynoed at a relativly low boost, due to the new motor. There are some bugs to work out, but for the most part this thing is nuts. At the lowest boost, it is faster than the first setup ever was.
here we go again… you guys are worthless
:finger2: … 32 psi is a decent boost level for this setup, but no where near the highest i can run… boost levels on the dyno could see 40+. Power was also decreased by only reving it to 7k rpm, with the port/polished head, and valves, i will be able to rev to 8500rmps, which in turn, creates a ton more power. Oh yeah, and this was without a 100 shot of nitrous, which will be used when the rings finally set, and as you can see, the clutch slipped (0mile clutch that needs to be heated up).
Nice dyno numbers! Im looking forward to seeing it run… and it seems like your gonna be our stiffest competition for us in the Power 6 this year at PRP.
Im not familar with the “power 6” what is it? … kinda like the quick 8?
power 6 is the 6 cylinder class. run in quick 8 format. I know 1320, rusty240, and I are goin to run some national events this year if you get it runnin good you should come out too.
edit: are you still goin to run BFG’s or are you goin to go with a ET street or full slick?
congrats!!looking good & nice##"S
I see, sounds like a blast.
The bfg’s are on the current wheels for the street. I also have a set of 16" CCW wheels with ET Streets on it, as well as a set of skinnies for the front.
Very nice ride. I hope to see it run at PRP this year. What do you expect to run with that setup?
Hoping is definetly different than doing. I know this setup is capable of running mid 9’s @ 150mph on boost alone. because it has been done.
Now for actually doing that is going to take some serious time and practice! The car will be in the 10’s right off the bat, and then we will see in there… its in the time i put into it and also the practice… we will see this summer at PRP though
Damn nice ride. Keep up with the good work.
congrats, and nice #'s… dyno queen
this dyno queen = blue4 cobra eater
that car is pretty much perfect for sport RWD in NHRA. I think minimum weight is 3500lbs and most cars pull low 10’s to high 9’s in the class.
congrats again
thanks, im trying to get all the necessary items for this to be NHRA legal…
driveshaft loop, scatter shield, roll cage in spring, relocated battery, shut off switch, nitrous blow down tube (thanks 8.1crew for the idea), crank pulley…
id hope so, with 850hp… but still doesnt change the fact that supras are dyno queens
swap out the rear axle with a Ford 8.8, and get more aggressive gearing
talk to domination chassis on here he can build the cage how ever you want it done
congrats man and looking forward to running ya come spring
