soo… today i was at work selling a bike to this kid and his mom. They just so happen to own a huge gm dealership in st.catharines called cullens.
so anyways… this kid is 15 and buying a bike, moms telling me how he doesnt need a $1,500 bike but the kid wants it. She says he doesnt need it because he is getting a cobalt ss when he turns 16 in a few months then he will forget about bikes all togeahter. She starts telling me how hes so into cars and kart racing and bla bla bla. I said oh yeah im also a little bit of a gearhead when it comes to cars i know what you mean, I own a nissan and ive gotten into the sport of drifting and cars drain a shitload from your pocket.
then she turns like 180deg attitude bitch cunt shit, and is like well my son will not be doing any drifting thank you very much, it is dangerous and a threat the public…
im like wtf.
i had to explain to her that F&F is a movie and not real and they dont do that shit here. i told her we go to racetracks. she had no fucking idea.
I had similar argument with a lady that came into my work a couple weeks ago. In short, she told me I should put my energy into something else instead of racing cars on the track. Apparently its dangerous and a waste of time. I ended the conversation by pointing out the fact that I’m a graduating engineer next year and I might be designing a part of a car she will be driving.
The commercialization of this sport and culture as a whole has gone to the point of no return. My friends know i lvoe these cars and this culture, and i find them always comign upto me asking them to learn to drift and crap liek that when i dont even know how myself… This has increased especially after Fast and Furious 3.

According to some lady in my neighborhood because of what i own, I’m ‘out there racing causing havoc all over the streets’. Or when theres a story on the news about racing… “there was an article about your people in the paper today, I know all about you now”
