Well actually I have had the car for a little over a week now. A friend of mine picked up a 91 MR2 from Elmira a few months ago, and needed the driveline and suspension from it. The shell was significantly cleaner than my 91 was, so naturally I wanted it. It hadn’t been on the road in years, was primered in grey, had hacked mods all over, but was rust-free and relatively straight. It just needed a Drivers rear quarter swapped on.
In 2.5 weeks, we swapped the full interior, 80% of the wiring, 90% of the suspension, the motor, transmission, the LR qtr panel, painted the front trunk, rear trunk and engine bay, swapped the gas tank, and installed some new go-fast parts.
I owe a HUGE thank you to my buds Matt, Luke_L, Joe, and Brandon for various roles they have played in the last year to make this car a success.
The car is a 1991 Toyota Mr2, swapped to a JDM 2.0L 3SGTE turbo motor and limited slip trans. I have a ton of work put into this thing and can’t wait to get her out on the tracks this year.
Paint and other pretty mods are on the way in the next year or so.
