it’s written on my purchase invoice. just says that if i stay within 2,000km’s a month and dont have an accident they will depreciate at a fixed amount per month toward a trade on a different car.
we pay 13% sales tax up here but yes if i trade it back toward a more expensive car i only pay the tax on the difference.

I wish MI was like that for taxes and I would probably update vehicles more often. A couple grand in taxes each time I want to change cars is quite a deterrent.
I guess that is why Buffalo (CAN) is cheaper to live in…
Let us know how you like the tranny. When I was looking for a new car I drove an M5 with the auto and was not sold. Granted I am sure the newer stuff is better.

E60 M5’s were SMGIII. E90 M3’s are DCT. Totally different system.
today was my first full day with the car driving it around.
some observations:
The DCT is very good but i was reaching for the clutch pedal often and found myself wanting to shift manually often… that isn’t going to go away.
these things are total shit on gas
jesus they are set up so well in stock form. every turn is a joy
and i’ve already started buying parts… ordered CF front splitters the other day, meeting for a set of 19" Breytons in an hour and committed to spacers and cyba scoops tomorrow. should have an invventory of 12mm, 15mm and 18mm spacers and studs by next week.

give it a few weeks… you have to develop your own style which will be a combo of auto + manual modes. Now that I have the DSG down like a boss in the Audi I love it to death but I was uncertain at first.

i’ve had a few people respond to my E90post WTB thread and a guy on trader.ca has just reached out to me again to get in touch with my guy at Budd’s to go through the CPO process. Problem is the dealer wants to make $10k off something like this, buying off the private seller for wholesale even though they have a buyer lined up and i found the car in the first place 
we’ll see how it goes.
