lol I woudn’t worry about me (well ok scratch that I’m fiercely over protective of my sisters), but anywho my younger sister Mary’s bf does that at 300 yrds with his 30-06 ;). He shoots competatively. Her twin Megan’s bf is a total nerd but cool as hell…oh yeah, and he is really into like sword fighting and does competitions in sword fighting. I have gone against him a few times…I am decent with a sword…but he is like freakin Highlander lol. My older sis is married and yeah he can out shoot me with his eyes closed, and my youngest sister is 14. I’ve already slapped the shit out of a few guys who have tried hitting on her when I’m around ;).
Oh and I beat the shit out of Mary’s ex bf because he was a total douche bag…it was AMAZING!!! Sometimes I LOVE being the only boy of 5 kids lol.
But yeah back on topic, a shoot off would be awesome. I can even ask my dad if we can have it at his gun club which has an awesome range and trap shooting if you guys would like to do that. My dad, Mary, her bf, and myself went shooting today, and then we shot 200 rounds for trap. Its soooo much fun. No douche baggery whatsoever though they are SUPER strict.

Are you looking to target shoot or hunt or both? .300 win mag will have knockdown power over 30-06 IMO, but isn’t really necessary unless you’re doing more long-range elk or ram out west. For Eastern hunting/whitetail go with the 30-06 or maybe a 7mm rem mag if you need more range.
both… but yeah thats what I am thinking. I mean you can take down anything in north america with a 30-06…just depends on the grain of the bullet and whatnot. More than anything it is the shooter. Shot placement is EVERYTHING! I mean if I wanna go really big I could just get 460 weatherby. That is used for like water buffalo and elephant lol.
With correct shot placement I can drop a deer with a .223. Which to me, is way cooler than doing it with a slug gun or a 30-06.

Sighted in my mossberg 835 and my dads Ithica model 37 today. Fuck my life my dads gun kicks like a freakin mule! Featherweight gun, 20" barrel, o recoil pad…the thing is a freakin cannon!
