What are your plans you FWD nuts?

Ok guys I just want to know what you plan/want to do with you car over the winter months to get it ready for summer '06! Also what are your main goals from these mods and what do you want to do the most of next summer i.e. Show your car off (enter car shows), do as much Auto-Xing as possible, Do a lot of 1/4mile drag racing, or all of the above? Look forward to seeing what you FWD guys plan on doing with your rides. :E

Hopefully get my stillen header, hotshot cold air intake, and finish off my exhaust, thats about it for performance. I want to get my sprint springs and some rims. Well see how school goes.

Well, I would LOVE to do a VQ35DE swap. In fact, it’s pretty much the next priority for this car.

After that, I wouldn’t mind slapping a c/f hood on it and getting some rims/tires.

My focus this year will be on autocrossing and just really enjoying my car. Especially with the VQ swap it will be what I wanted - the Altima SE-R motor with the Sentra curb weight. :E

Kris if you put a VQ in your Spec you had better be doing more than just auto-xing that ish, that will be a drag strip beast. Also it won’t be quite Spec Curb weight the VQ is a little heavier than the QR, but hey you already know that don’t you. :E

My Plans will be to finish my stupid Renault. I really have no plans for the spec. Not even sure if I will keep it or what. Haven’t made my mind up as yet. A VQ or a fully Built QR25DET would be nice.

Main plan is to get my car finally on the road again. It hasn’t ran right since it was busted into. Right now the engine and tranny are out and I am in the process of collecting everything for a transmission swap (yes it’s an auto, but it was pretty quick for an auto running 12psi of boost through it, 218 whp on mustang dyno). The transmission is on the way and I have a list of parts required, and instructions for the swap, so I just need to start finding everything I need for that.

Other than that I have a new 3" catback exhaust coming from powertechimports, a 3" test pipe, Q45 maf and some minor intake/intercooling piping work to do. Shouldn’t take to long to do once I have all the parts I need.

After that get it tuned and see what type of numbers and 1/4 mile times I can get with the grt28rs.

Chase, I would drag it but I’m not sure I can afford drag slicks.

Ryan, are you not happy with the performance of the Spec anymore? Once I start collecting stuff for my VQ swap, I can shoot you over some mods to help you out…

Um for drag radials I would go and talk to Jamie, I think they have some package deals for slicks and rims for 1500, maybe cheaper, but yeah I would get in touch with him and see what he can work out for you. I REALLY want some drags for the track. And Ryan don’t get down on your Spec it just needs a little bit of love, sell your QR Engine while the KM’S are still ridiculously low and swap in a VQ or wait till Kris does take all his parts of his hands, and throw a S/C on that Bish. If you sell it you sellin me your dvd player right? :finga:

That would be awesome if we had a turbo, S/C, and VQ Spec V in the same club! :E

And yeah, Ryan still has first dibs on my power mods.

well i really want to do downpipe, xm radio (gives 10hp i heard), install my motor mounts eventually when im not lazy, cams, jwt kit, HID kit. i want to do all of these soon except for cams, but i can’t see many of them happening till summer cause i will be gone for school.
