Hollowing it out will mean it won’t muffle anything very well. If you really like the twin tip look then just get a twin tip Magnaflow muffler. It looks good, sounds good and is prettty cheap.
haha hollowing out the stock muffler will make it sound like you have soup cans on your exhuast

Well to update, everything is FINALLY installed properly…we installed the header (me and a friend) then tried to weld up the new cat and resonator to the old system, which sucked cause it leaked like mad since we cant weld…i finally now have everything (including the new muffler and tip) installed and new plumbing. To Recap

The muffler and resonator are “glasspack” so the sound will eventually change somewhat, though im not sure to what…right now though when putzing through traffic there is some resonance, not what i wanted. Its low and buzzy but not overly loud at all, but its there. Open the throttle and the buzzyness fades off at about 3000 rpm (actually it does this whether you floor it or not) and between about 3 and 4 K it sounds basically stock.
The really funny part comes in at full throttle over 4000 revs. Its extremely, totally quiet. You cant hear the exhaust whatsoever, not even a hint from inside. All you DO hear is the intake which is not very loud but no exhaust note! I dont get it…I did want this to be quiet but I was hoping it would be loud at high RPM and quiet down low but its the opposite…In fact i would bet that if i was to install the stock intake back on, and opened it up past 4K, it would make almost no noise at all…Its unbelieveable that all this free-breathing stuff is quieter than stock over 4000 revs!! Im totally baffled…
