What do you think of this? ( Tkit)

i am looking into boosting my car. and came upon this

http://www.swiftracing.com/turbochargers/lexus/is300/stagediy.htm

It comes w/every thing you need except the fuel system. Which is not to bad because i can just source those my self.

Holy expensive

4 grand for a complete turbo kit isn’t really that bad, plus you’ve got to figure that anything for a lexus is going to cost more.

thats what i was thinking. and you still need to upgrade your fuel system?

let me find my SCC with the turbo IS300 and send u a link…4k is a lil high without fuel upgrade…even so jsut upgrade pump and FPR or FMU…i am sure ur injectors can handle it…or just use supra parts

http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/turbo_specialties_extreme_turbo_kits/

4k is alot for a cast mani, a turbo, $200 worth of piping and some little shit

you would spend less on EVERYTHING if you bought everything seperate and had hybrid build you a killer manifold

does it come with an upgraded driver?

haaaaa ROFL…i think he still has issues drivign stick

uuhhhhh… no. oh and driving*

last time i saw u at mighty u were riding ur clutch like a jockey…and we are just messing with u

wtf are you talking about?

seriously?

have you ever driven my car??? or an IS300?

ive riden with dos, never noticed him ride the clutch :gotme:

cant you drop a supra motor into that car? seems a bit easier then turboing ur na, but then again i have no idea what the costt would be

same block as a supra…

its basicly a supra motor as it is, so doing a supra black swap wouldnt be the greatest way to start spending $

plus, since alot of supra guys convert to single turbo, he could wind up spending a bunch of money on stuff thats just gonna get tossed anyways, not to mention the possible problems with adapting the supra ecu to the IS300

the one thing i wondering on that kit you posted is if having the waste gate dump before the cat is the greatest idea. wouldnt it be more effective to have it dump behind teh cat ?

ehh… sortof. my block does not have the pistons or rods

actually a drove a few IS300s…and chill i am just messing with you

if you do all the research and can learn to compare one kit vs another in terms of
the sacrafices made for cost, manufacturability, performance fit and finish etc…
you will be better off.
unless you hear from people with experience using that kit?

You might be better off building your own stuff…
then you dont have to say “why the hell did they do that?”
