I found some old numbers from 2002.(the rich actually pay more currently)
Only 11,000,000 people pay 37.5% of the total tax income.
That is more than 1/3 of all tax revenue is covered by only 11,000,000 people!!!
56% is paid by the top 5%.
67% is paid by the top 10%.
84% is paid by the top 25%.
96% is paid by the top 50%.
3.9% is paid by the bottom 50%!!!
I REPEAT 3.9% is paid by the bottom 50%!!!
HALF of the country combined only pays 3.9%!!!
Think about that!
So should the top 10% pay more than 2/3 of the total tax revenue?
