What do you want the Democrats to accomplish?

You poor guy, you have to live in the village.
Seriously though, there are plenty of people in the village that make a lot more than I do.
I am not rich by any means by the way.

OK back on topic.

The politicians from both sides have really dissapointed me.

Stop bickering about meaningless issues and please do what your being paid to doā€¦do somethingā€¦anything. there are so many issues that need resolved and have been overlooked because of the focus on trivial issues like gay marriage, fuel costs, and religious values.

REFORM HEALTHCARE. and im not talking goverment take over of it. there is a reason we have the best healthcare in the nation. but how can it be legal to have commercials for perscribed drugs so people can self diagnose themselves. isnt that what doctors are for? isnt that why they have a decade of medical education? were turning into a nation of hypochondriacs. the system is costing the nation jobs, its cost is climbing 3 times the rate of inflation.

REFORM THE LEGAL SYSTEM. anybody can sue anybody for anything these days. what ever happened to taking responsibility for your actions. now we just sue the snot out of someone anytime you have been inconvenienced. how on earth can a lawsuit be considered because fat people are unhappy a restuarant sold them the food they craved, or some dumbass can get $500,000 because they spilled coffee on themselves is fucking rediculous. STOP lining the lawyers pockets.

END THE WAR ON DRUGS. How is it that the US government can declare war on the people its supposed to represent? people are in awe at the cost of the war in Iraq, but fail to realizeā€¦we spend about the same every year to fight a war on the American people. Instead of using this money to send addicts to jail, why dont we use it for education and treatment centers? why? because thousands of people depend on this war for employment. So i askā€¦please stop spending billions on a war you cant win, and stop sending my brothers and sisters to jailā€¦all they need is a shoulder to lean on, not steel bars.

I really hope the Democrats can put their grudges behind them and do something politicians havnt done in decadesā€¦BE A PUBLIC SERVENT. enough of the soap opera style of politics. i dont care about a politicians sexual life or drug experimentation. fix the goddamn system already.

  1. he is no a democrat, and I agree with almost everything he said.
  2. Yes I am a registered Republican, but If I feel the Democrat is the better candidate, I will vote for him. Hell, I vored for Jack Davis and hes a Dem. I would be a member of the independant party, but then I couldnā€™t vote in the primaries.

I have a huge newsflash for Americans!

Healthcare is an industry and itā€™s only ethical when that would serve its best interests, not when it would serve Americanā€™s best interests. Maybe if Americans would choose a healthier lifestyle they wouldnā€™t have such high healthcare? Iā€™d love to blame the industry exclusively, but there are some other things causing the rise that are not dependent on capitalism:

  1. The entire world is getting fatter
  2. We have to deal with the cost of smoking (even if currently smoking is on the decline, the negative effects of smoking still need to be treated, and I can imagine they take some years to develop into serious healthcare problems.)
  3. People are not spending as much time interacting in person as they used to (social problems, anxiety problems)ā€¦ā€œself checkoutsā€, the internet, etc. all create a sense of being self-sufficient, but probably play a role in the formation of bad habits
  4. Parents are spending less time with their children (developmental problems which the healthcare industry would like to treat as medical illnessā€“and do you think parents are going to take some of the blame for kids that are a bit cooky?
  5. People have always been self medicating.

This is just off the top of my head, but the rise of healthcare is not simply because of a greedy industry (although it is like every other industry, Americans are opening the doors for them to be taken advantage of). Michael Moore is putting out a movie on this and Iā€™m almost certain he wonā€™t blame the dissarray of the healthcare industry on people like him (fat, dirty slobs). Yeah, credible guy on the subject, huh?

Fixed.
