I am looken for around 400 to the wheels, the only reason im not useing a b16 head or a type r head is because i dont have any, all my builds are low budget due to me being poor, i was pondering putting the itb’s on too, but i wanna save em for the all motor car…

with the ls head ill be around 8.1:1 and the gsr head ill be around 8.5:1

its the one i have on the stock ls not, its an sfp tube mani with a 40mm hks wastegate
turbonetics t3/60-1 and johnnyrace car intercooler
and dsm 450 injectors( im gonna have to step those up along with my map and clutch)
stock ls tranny

yea same turbo setup, umm as for injectors i can prob do 650-1000 cc any in that area will work

screw a B20 when you can make your own with sleeves and still have the oil squirters

There is the opinion in the racing world where having oil squirters create unwanted windage at the pistons. So, without them, you can supply more oil to the bottom end to keep it together. Its more about heat than actual oil supply. I’d run an oil cooler on the ls bottom if you wanna be hardcore about it. :dunno:

Thats why it seems to be a common practice at least in the dsm world to take them out. Besides if the oil journals are decent enough you won’t ever notice a difference. I’ve built two ls/vtecs and i’m on my third. They’re basic and net better gains for the dollar than any other honda motor i’ve ever touched. I’ve compiled some data for both a gsr and ls. The numbers are very similar.

Well I just bought another b16 head today. Maybe we should compare notes. I got a b16 head thats been pnp’d, had a 3 angle valve job and shaved .004. Should work well with my setup.

are u going boost or all motor?

My plan is boost. I’ve built a couple other hatches like this the fastest one went 12.8. This one will actually have forged internals though. I don’t really have any expectations this time.

i have a fully built ls head and rev to 8 all day long, also have crower turbo cams and aem cam gears, but i heard adjusting the cams isnt going to make much if any power ( heard from jeff evans)

if you want get ahold of me sometime after i get tuned for more boost and ill take ya for a ride

While adjusting the cam gears doesn’t make much power it has more uses. Like achieving better cylinder filling.

…and changing lobe separation for better spool.

dont forget cam gears make it look faster too
