Canon - EF 70-200mm f/4L USM Lens ~$650
Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5/4.5 USM Auto Focus Zoom ~$650
EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens $220
Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Autofocus Lens $350 (maybe$270)
Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM $200
Out of these what would you choose, keeping the total price under $1000? Any other lens suggestions?
I currently have a Sigma 50-200mm and 18-55 kit lens. I would like definitely like something to replace the kit lens.
Canon 17-40mm f/4L??
Just got it for christmas/birthday, but I’m loving mine so far.

OR, should I sell everything and get a Canon EOS 5D Mark II???
It depends on what you shoot mostly. Landscapes and indoor shots you’ll probably want something pretty wide. Portraits, you’ll want something longer. Between 50-135 on a crop body. If you shoot bands or other low light events, you’ll want fast glass, f2.8 and faster. Prime lenses are usually pretty fast but you have to use your feet to zoom in and out. Shoot a lot of cars? You’ll probably want something long and fast so you can haz bokeh.
Get into some primes man. I say grab the following:
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 (~$300-$325 used)
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 (~$80 used)
Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 (~$300-$350 used)
It does really depend on what you shoot though. What lens and focal length do you find yourself using most between the two lenses you have? Or do you find yourself needing more reach or a more wide shot. Then you can go from there.

Either get the 5d or more prime glass would be my suggestion.

Do you have the 17-55? If not, I recommend it. Best day-to-day lens for the crop.
I have a 17-55 2.8 and 50 1.4. Going to add another later on this year. Haven’t decided what yet.
I primarily do weddings only these days.

Well that’s the problem, I use both a lot. AND I’d like a wider shot at times. My dream lens would be 10-200mm 1.4 :rofl

I do not have that, I’ll take a look at it!

I concur on the 10-200 1.4 lol. I’d pay mad $$$ for that just so I could have on lens that worked in EVERY situation lol.
Then get one macro, and one fisheye and call it a day.
Maybe one day they will create the mother of all zoom lenses…
Nolan just follow myself and Jim around and steal his shit. cheapest way no doubt about it
Or just buy my 85 f/1.2L II.
The best lens that never gets used

Okay so today I couldn’t help my self and bought the EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Image Stabilizer USM I couldn’t help it. It was like new, lens hood, hoya uv filter, and it’ll be a nice lens to have whenever I go full frame.
