well i turned 21k today(the = i cant get rid of this car) so i wanna keep up on the maitnance. when should i do the first tranny flush because rumor is. if u wait ot long it may be to late
i thought new cars only get tranny flushes at or around 60k
The recommended interval for most domestics is a flush at 30k, and a flush and filter at 60k. What is the year, make, and model of your car? I will look up your service recomendation in alldata while i am still here in my shop
I got my gf’s flushed at 50K per recommendation from the owners manual.
automatic is usually recc. at the 60k mark
manual is bout 30-35k depending on the make. but obvioslly if u drive it hard u should do it a bit sooner.
With your driving Joe, I’d do it now. just kidding… I think you’ll be fine for atleast another 20k. than you can start thinking about it.
Just look in the owners manual…it has a regular maintiance chart…thats for normal driving…
If you put your car thru more abuse then “normal driving” get it flushed sooner.
On auotmatic streeters I have done it every 50,000m or so. Can’t say that is “right” though. My current race car has a 'glide and I am going with once a season on that one. It’s convenient.
what he said, especially in a front drive car. if you were way over I would not flush, but drain, replace, and repeat.
its a 05 and its been driven very calmly for the last 2 months
what i would recommend is to start the car, and check the level of the fluid. If it is betwen the crosshairs the level is good, then smell it… it should be sweet, not bitter or burnt. If it is bright red, sweet smelling, and clean looking, give it a few more months
Well, getting it changed more frequently is most certainly not going to harm it. I think it cost me less than $15 last June.
