Talking to a smart guy on here named “willybeen” got me thinking… how much did you pay for your car, and how much do you have into it?
To figure this out:
Divide your dollar value of mods by what you paid for the car and multiply by 100%…
I bought my sti new for about 32000 and have about 17190 into it so i have spent:
17190/32000 * 100% = 53.7% of my cars purchase price in mods. This means i could have it almost completely paid off by now. HAHA
Another example:
My range rover has 1 dollar in mods (air freshener) so that’s .00003%
Lastly, my BMW… I bought it for 500. I have 4,350% of the original purchase price invested in the car. HAHAH

Bought my Mustang for $4500 in '97 as a theft recovery…last I checked I had may $12,000 over the last 11 years.
Bought my SHO for $2000 and have about $1500 into it.
Mustang: 266% of the purchase pricee
SHO: 75%
The only mod to my daily is pictured here
it’s so hard to separate mods from repairs: ie. transmission dies, but replace with built transmission, is that a mod?
I’m probably somewhere in the 13-20% depending on how you factor it.
where did you get the buddy christ???
so far 34.4% but i have only had it for 6 weeks
paid 25k, have around 7k into it
28%

well, that’s factoring in 2K for paint and 1000 for wiring…
It depends a great deal on what I count as part of the mods. If our time counts mine goes up considerably. For parts it’s around 1500% since the car was about 1000 bucks.

GTO = 0.88% ($20 skip shift eliminator + $200 in used rims for winter tires)
Expedition = 0.05%. (9.95 adapter for the trailer lights)
Fiero = Was probably close to 100% by the time I sold it. Low initial price + lots of replacement parts/mods for autocrossing.
