port it urself
how hard is it
take it to jjs drop it off
pick it back up enjoy
to far of a drive
honestly man, you dont need a ported tb. the gain you see from it is nothing at the phase you are at. personally for the money i would buy a cam. since youre on a budget i know a decent cam for you. on a typical LS1 it should gain you about 30rwhp. its ligenfelter GT2-5. specs are 222/222 .566/.566 112 lsa. this cam works with 918 springs. if intersted PM me. ill sell you the package for what i paid for it. im thinking of going something much larger for my new setup.
I would have ported my L36 tb myself except the damn maf housing is right in it
so I spung for an actual ported one with a larger plate
whats it matter im sure ill have both eventually and i want 114 lsa
pussy, 112 is minimum
pussy, mines 112, and idles fine
Thunder Racing Custom “Reverse Split” Camshaft - 227/224 .569/.563 114 LSA (This cam will check in the 226 range on the intake lobe.) 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars. Better piston/valve clearance than 230/224 cam for applications using heavily milled heads and/or larger than stock valves. Slightly smoother idle than 230/224 cam. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.
i think thats what im gettin, what else do i need for it?
im thinking manley nextek spring with titanium retainers, a new timing chain
anything else i need?
i had a 224/224 cam and 3200 stall ran 11’s on rich tune ! perfect for a daily.
rollmaster dual chain >*
for a stick the t rex is a great cam too
ported oil pump!
LS2 timing chain > *
they get loose,dounle roller>
honestly justin they do get loose after 530 miles or so mine is aliltle loser then when it was new. thinking of using the sprockets to help
As stated before just go to JJ’s tell them what you want and come with a pocket full of money.
Naaawwwwwwwwzzzzzzzz!!
 i wish i wouldve gotten that
f14 from futral (sp) motorsports
if anyone thinks there is a better cam that produces good power but is still good for a daily driver, let me know so i can check it out
