What suspension do you use?

I want fully adjustable coil overs for my s13, I was going to get the tein suspension but people told me not to waste my money on just a brand name and to get Megan Racing 32 way adjustable coil overs instead, what other brands is there and what do you guys use?
The plan is to slam the 240 while still obtaining usability of the car, because I hate even the smallest wheel gaps on 240’s.

Thanks.

I have no real coilover experience but from what I know I can tell you mainly you’ve got these options:

D2’s
Megan Racing (may be your best bet)
Tein Basic
Used good ones

OR $$$:

Tein Flex/HE etc
Apexi’s
JIC FLT’s
Kei Office
Nismo R-Tune
HKS
Cusco

And an interesting article on coilovers…

Good luck.

Nismo R-Tune, for my car at least, runs $4500CAD. You can get a nice TEIN kit and an EDFC for that money.

Since you said suspension and not shock/spring/coilovers…

  • Urethane bushings on all control arms
  • Whiteline swaybars
  • D2 coilovers

Might want to consider at least swaybars in your mix for a much better feel.

I’ve got Silk Road RM/A8 coilovers and a HICAS rear ARB (anti-roll bar) and I love it.

SR coils retail around $1329USD from MA Motorsports.

Talk to Sideways, He can get you some killer deals on some killer stuff.

I run the TEIN super drifts and love them. Thats my vote

Remember you get what you pay for.

What no Tanabe?

thanks guys

Tein RA’s

love them, most of us in road racing are using them, they are great, they offer great dampining and great spring rates, plus are bullet proof

yes they cost more…however you get what you pay for IMO

shock setup now which blows…

kyb agx with eibachs go on tomorrow so hopefully its a nice improvement

Martins a n00b :stuck_out_tongue:

tokico blues on eibach prokit with eibach sways and cusco camber plates… on prothane bushing kit…

car is toight like a tiger.

and still has enough ride height to stay legit in a cops eyes… so i love it

GT

JIC’s

Good answers … doesn’t really belong in the tech section.
If you have a more specific question (like maybe at least including the application) feel free to start a new thread …
