So I’m having back and forth thoughts on what to build. Right now I’ve got a 93 Civic Hatchback… I’m debating on doing an LS Swap with a GSR trans and turbo it… I can get a very good deal on the motor trans setup… A buddy said to put a gsr head or a b16 head on it if I was going to turbo it… He also said i would need a decent size turbo for a dohc motor…Heres my issue…I don’t know what is a safe area for boost on these honda motors…If i do this setup i would have nate from tpg tune it for me cause i’m good friends with him…I don’t want crazy high boost just something that will run good and not melt pistons. Or I may just buy a dsm again…I’ve always been able to make them run low 13’s high 12’s fairly easy with bolt ons and not touching the motor…And i know i can run 20 some lbs of boost on a stock motor. So what do you guys think?

Um, find a motor build it, do what is needed to boost it… Dsm’s are nice, but over my yrs on pittspeed (not shown by my post count) ive seen alot of dsm projects come and go…
Honestly, do something wild…theres only like 2 rwd converter civics to my knowledge, why not convert it to rwd and run an s2k motor trans and rear end and slap a turbo on that.?

Fuck that, rustangs are gay and solid axle RWD is super gay. I went over to the darkside of Imports cause front engine V8’s handle like shit.
Throw an LS in it and boost it, there are millions of them out there so parts are cheap and there are plenty of experienced people on here and HT.
From what I see the LS motors handle the boost the best.
I have seen up to 366whp on a stock ls.
I wouldent recommend anything more then 280whp

If i were to do it all again i would go rwd or awd. you will get sick of traction issues real quick unless all you do is go to the track. Dont get me wrong there is nothing like a Honda’s top end pull besides a street bike but i miss my old hot rods.
