Quit bumping old threads.
And FWD sucks in all conditions. I’d rather slide the tail than understeer on ice.
i have a 91 maxima in very very good condition. the paint is pretty spotless and there is a tiny bit of surface rust on the rear fenders. i wouldn’t really consider it a beater though since its my daily driver. comes with sound system and its a 5spd!! 160hp 170 tq.

Pick up a older Subaru Legacy, they can be had in the price range you are looking for. Nothing beats Subaru AWD in the winter. Warning though parts are pretty expensive.
