What to do? Make STI fast and have slow DD or buy cheap fast car and keep STI as DD?

I dont believe bill’s and chuck’s car were meant to run 10’s… Think they were a tad quicker than that… Besides if Ed mans up and sprays 125+ shot im sure he will run 10’s and he has a total of what 6-7K in the Formula?

^ It should be good for a few passes

buy a geo metro or a diesel benz and run it on veggie. with all the money youll save, you be able to build the sti in no time.

are there any final drive options for a sti to make it taller? other trans families that can donate shafts/rings/pinions? rear end options?

im doing a gearset swap right now with my k car with parts from different year dodge trannies so i can go 126 in 4th at 6k. my car doesnt rev for crap. 5500-6k right now. full spool at 2500-2800 though.

Buy my turbo kit:

turbo kit was 3800
ic is worth about 500
hydra was 1400
bov was 200
injectors were 400
fuel rails were 200
DLi was 500
Fuel pump was 100

that’s a total of 7200 worth of stuff…

i’d sell it for say… 4500 plus stock IC stuff…

deal and a half. No more love for the GT35R STI??? i knows it been asked, whats next?

 then you can blow the motor up all by yourself

shut up justin

sorry christian

Because some people would rather be able to turn in their car at the end of the day rather than just having a “pure” straight line monster. I could never justify having just a straight line car. At least with the STi, if he wanted to hit twisties like a mad man he still could.

Ill take a shitty running STi over a 10 second Transmarobird any day.

Thats you… He never said he wanted an auto-x car, he said he wants something that runs 10’s or better

Didn’t you hit the twistes and run right into a curb a few years back? Maybe you should practice going straight before you attempt to turn.

Its been 4 years… believe me, I have had practice asshat!

It was just my opinion

Im sure its pretty hard to drive an automatic stone age gm.

Sick burn dude bro.

I laughed.

But seriously blu? Is that part of the lure to you keeping the STi as a drag car as oppsed to just building a 1 demensional fbod that cant go left and right?

With the STi or evo, you can at least change directions at any time if you want to move towards T/A or auto x or anything or are you just really looking for a strictly drag car?

I never said 10’s were easy in an STi. I said modifying the STi was easy. If it’s a fast drag car he wants, then the STi is probably not it. Road course or autoX on the other hand…

People that think “fbods” can’t handle turns need to visit a racetrack more often.

is that kind of like how changing the spark plus is easy compared to the evo

when it comes to tinkering with the evos vs stis the evo pretty much does everything cheaper and more easily.

No, my dick is bigger.
