They’re all pretty much the same until '08. I would typically stay away from the bugeye '02s due to the age and the fact that they’re ugly.

any non-bugeye auto. The Auto’s don’t break. But they’re slow.
That statement goes hand-in-hand with itself; get a slow one, things don’t break. Make them go faster, things will break; spend money on stuff that won’t break, and other stuff will break.
The '06-'07 did have the extra .5 liters though, which makes a noticeable difference, stock-for-stock.
Looking for a deal? The '02 bugeyes are getting cheaper and cheaper as we speak…
