because, over here, the hot car to have was the honda civic, over in japan, the hot car is the silvia/180sx, that never had the truck motor in it. therefore, no aftermarket for the KA, like there is with the SR. this isn’t exactly rocket science.
umm easy… the onlt ka24’s in japan…are in trucks…if at all…

if your motor dosent have japanese support and its not popular in japan you will have troubel getin parts how dosent htat make sence. i think greddy is the only company doin anything for KA24’s
its not a 4g63 if there was no 4g63’s in japan there would be no japanese support for the motor. on top of that why make parts for a car that is already limited in production. so…thats why

you realy dont understand how huge s serries nissans and sr20’s are in japan its HUGE! i mean if you own a perfomance company and you dont make parts for the sr20. your not gona go anywere they are one of the most popular tuner/drifter cars in japan period sr20’s are soooo far ahead of ka’s becasue they dont even have ka’s theres more suport for a sr20de than ka24’s in america

4g63 support didnt’ come from japan…the stuff we do with dsms came from buschur, extreme…places like that - you dont’ see 600hp evo 3 motors in japan built to run 1/4 miles
yes it did… one of the first turbo upgrades ever available for the 4g63 powered eclipse/talon, was the 16g turbo. Which drumroll please came off the JDM Lancer Evo.
No one cares about where DSM mods came from… The point of this argument is now why there is more aftermarket support for the sr20det than for the ka24e/de. And mainly Jay already stated it.
well if you want to go all that far. I am pretty sure HKS Japan started using the big BB turbos before FP came out with theres on DSM’s
KA is a block that will never get any love. it costs to much to make the same power that you can make for less with the SR block
no i wasn’t trying to get any where i was pointing out that the remark about aftermarket for ka sucking because japan doesn’t support it…who cares what japan supports the car is here
but unlike your precious dsm’s, the car was never popular in the U.S. until the past 2 years. the metro was also in this country, does that mean there should be a huge aftermarket for it? no one is saying that there is absolutely nothing available for the KA, just that the SR has more support since it has been being built up in japan for a hell of a lot longer than the KA has over here.
