Was it pad fade experienced? Please explain what was felt by the driver. It was likely the fluid boiling. The guy you were riding with over drives the car, he is a different sort.

Also, you cannot compare 2 different cars in regards to pads. Tire compound factor into the equation as well as the size of brakes, and the driver.

I also can’t wait to see your face when it rains and your brakes squeal so loud people will look at you like a moron. HP+ are not street pads, they took me one lap to get up to temperature. I ran them on the street in the spring and summer, cause I’m too lazy to be swapping pads in and out. I also gave myself space to account for them. The way you drive, you’ll end up rear ending someone.

I’m sorry if I sound like an arrogant bastard (which I can be at times), but I’m telling you from first had experience.

i find that with stock calipers. my set up is awsome.

russel ss braided lines
DOT 5 brake fluid

the pedel is nice and stiff and it brakes HARD.
i dont feel much brake fade if any

it depends if im driving with the r comps or not

You’ll likely need to upgrade from stock calipers with the turbo setup if you are making a decent amount of power. If not, drive harder :slight_smile:

LOL, yea, I have to admit, David is not the conservative type, he pushes harder than I do. Ah well, HPS it is for the pads, I’ll see how the fluid holds up, or if I’ll need to upgrade that.

I’d upgrade the fluid before I upgrade the pads if anything. But get HPS + Fluid and you should be happy. :smiley:

I’m going with HPS front, HP+ rear after hearing from Dustin having good success with it. I don’t know two shit about what pads to buy so I went with something someone had success with it :dunno:

Also will be doing a full fluid flush. Should help for the summer.

Not sure if you just didn’t list it but 14PSI on stock SR fuel makes for a fast car that lasts about 3 weeks. 11PSI MAXIMUM (according to me) on stock SR fuel (injectors, fpr). 370’s just don’t provide enough fuel for that much air.

i’m trying to go big this year since i’m planning on just using the car for the track.

my goal is for 650+ but it will probaby blow up sooner.

650 hp is way to much

300hp is crazy

this is what i should be running. -550-600hp @ 10psi on stock injectors!

as far as exterior goes… Looks like it will be recieving Over fenders on the back when it gets painted come spring. So it will better accomidate My 10" wide wheels on the back… and 9" wheels will eb going on the front.

And all these parts and stuff Is already lined up for the car. I either already have the stuff or its On its way.

So this is not really a wish list… lol Just my setup for spring 08…
