Whats the best stuff to buy at a local parts store to buff red paint?

I have a buffer and have done it plenty of times, a few on red Honda’s but I ran out of the stuff I was using and have no idea what it was. My dad gave me the stuff to use and it worked awesome, now I have no clue what to buy. Any advice on what I can pick up at advancedauto?

Here is a pic of the red I am doing, body is great its just a little faded as all red older Honda’s do.

It looks awesome when its wet so I know it will look good when its buffed, it might still be a little faded but it should look good.

carquest sells 3m, explain to one of th associates what your doing and he,ll sell you the stuff, i have some meguairs swirl remover that when used with a 3m foam compounding pad works pretty good for average fadeing

Ya, I need some different pads as well, I just have the furry one.

what kind of buffer do you have?

Its a dewalt, similar to this one

A foam pad would really work better…The pad you have is most likely for heavy cutting and if you don’t know what your doing that is a bad idea.

urban paint in north tonawanda has all the solutions you need.

I have used it before on red painted Honda that was fading it worked well. What should I get foam wise?

3m compounding pad, thats all we used at work, 3m polishing pad is pretty much useless its soo low of a cut
