Anybody notice all the bums begging for money on St. Albert Trail, Yellowhead, 127st, etc etc. I’ve never seen bums around here except for downtown until this year, now I see em everywhere. What the hell? Unemployment rate is less than a percent right now, what is their problem?
And the loser squeegee punks hanging around 127st… every car has wipers, why the fuck would you think people want your dirty greasy disgusting hands on thier cars?
I wish we could get rid of unproductive street trash.

If you can’t a job in alberta, your not trying hard enough. Personally I like all the J-walkers downtown, I’m starting to wonder if the city should bother with crosswalks anymore. And if one of those window washer punks touch my car, they’ll end up pulling that squeegee outta their ass…

yeah I know what you mean it used to be just downtown but now they stand on the median holding up signs all across the city and in front of grocery stores everywhere.

Im glad its not as bad as toronto. when i was down there they are everywhere. by ontario place, by the air canada centre. everywhere where there is an attraction etc.

Yes the unemployment rate is next to nothing and Alberta is growing at a rate Canada has never seen before, but housing and rent are going up faster than most peoples jobs. Therefore you will see more people who were before, just making it my, now finding themselves not being able to make ends meet. 50 year morgages here we come!

Same problem here in Calgary. It seems to happen in waves though … there will be a few weeks where the medians are empty, and then it’ll be a week where they’re everywhere downtown. I don’t know if they’ve got secret meetings or what, but it’s weird…
To their credit, I HAVE found that as long as your car is relatively clean and shiny, they don’t bother even asking. They’ll just move to something dirtier.
i lived downtown in calgary for 6 months and it really isn’t that bad. they stick around the 7-11’s and mac’s
i gave one guy $2 just for the fact that he was trying to sell me porn and he first said he was getting money for food, and i said, i bet its for alcohol and he fessed up, thought it was worth the $2 for the humor in the situation.
than there are the crack heads, kent, jared, jareds brother, fred, wang, and I ran into a CRAZY one after d-sport
yeah those guyz(squeegee) tried to wash my car, and it was just cleaned the day before. I just looked at the guy with my “you-sir-have-got-to-be-kiddin” look.
I just walked away from that one dude. He seemed pretty chill. That chick across the street on the other hand. Yikes. Wang was yelling at her too.
haha those squegee guys downtown tried to clean my windows as i pulled up at the light i rolled down my window and told them id run them over if they washed my window. then they just backed off. makes me mad bc i seen them wash some guys car ahead of me and he didnt pay them so he threw water all over his car.
